Current awareness services
  • BIBLIOSTRIPS
  • INDEX can provide you each month with detailed information about new titles on individual slips of paper, 'Bibliostrips'. These contain full bibliographic data as well as a short description, or a full table of contents if space permits (see the example below).

Each set of Bibliostrips contains titles due for publication that month. Our database ensures that no title is presented twice unless new details have been made available, such as a price change of over 10% or a major update of the bibliographic data.

Because each slip if pre-addressed they can also be used as order forms. Bibliostrips arrive sorted by subject.

The Bibliostrips service is free of charge to our customers. Libraries wishing to try it may order it on approval for a year, after which period the service will be continued if there is a perspective of a business relationship being established.

  • BIBLIOMAIL
  • Our title descriptions are also available via email as Bibliomail. This service is provided either as a supplement to or instead of the printed version. An extra option of Bibliomail is sub-addressing by subject to match the needs of various departments within your organization. BiblioMail titles are linked directly to our BiblioWeb online ordering section (see below).

  • BIBLIOSHEETS
  • On demand from customers, we can generate more comprehensive title descriptions on 'Bibliosheets'. these consist of entire sheet per title, comprising full bibliographic details, and where available a table of contents, an extensive description and reviews, author affiliations, and subject and readership classifications.

Bibliosheets can be despatched on request via mail, fax or email whenever a shorter Bibliostrip or Bibliomail proves insufficient.

  • BIBLIOWEB
  • Since March 2004, we are now listing the latest monthly selection on which our alerting services are based in its entirety on our BiblioWeb section. Each title description offers the fullest details available, with extensive cross-referencing by subject to other titles within the BiblioWeb as well as Special Offers sections. Of course titles can be ordered online, and each BiblioMail title sent to customers has a direct link to the corresponding BiblioWeb record.

  • SUBJECT PROFILES
  • We can set up one or more subject profiles for your library depending on your needs, using the industry standard BIC classification. This schedule offers a detailed and structured listing of topics as well as geographical and linguistic classifications. For precision a combination of criteria can also be used.
